Default $275.00 for coolant temp sensor replacement?....

seems a bit high from an Audi dealer. Just got quoted $29.00 elsewhere. Strange. What do you think.

Default Wow. I'll do it for you for half that! ;-D

It's really a DIY job.

It's incredibly simple and quick.

Default Unplug plastic plug, remove clip that holds in sensor, remove sensor.

Replace sensor, replace clip, plug in the plug.

And you just saved yourself $269. ;-)

Default I was charged $200. I pitched such a fit they gave me a $175 credit.

Originally I was given a choice of $200 for the installation, or $100 for diagnosis.

I was in there for a bad MAF.

Default What was the problem with the car that led you to replace the sensor?

My water temp gauge started to be mostly one tic below the center position.

I am guessing that my coolant temp sensor needs replacement as well.

What were the symptoms for you?

Thank you,
Ali
