Default Local Brewery: Blue Ridge (5 minutes from house)... Snowball's Chance Winter Ale

Used to buy two cases when it came out every year so that I would have some left when spring rolled around... They have a bunch of not-bad-at-all beers, but their only other super great beer (IMO) they don't make anymore: SunRage. It was a super summer beer made with sour mash and honey.

On that note, I'd also like to expound on exactly how clueless their head brewer is. I asked last year if they were going to do SunRage anymore, and he said: "Nah. We have this Honey Red that tastes exactly the same." I disagreed with him, and he told me I must be imagining things...and I guess the 10 other people who I asked about the beers in question also imagine things. Pfft.

Oh well.
