folks,
on several occasionas recently, i've heard a hideously loud vibration/shudder while accelerating through ~2700 rpms. i cannot reproduce it reliably, but it seems to happen most often when i lug the engine slightly and stomp on it (e.g., accelerating from 30 mph in 4th or something stupid like that).
i'm going to schedule an appointment with my dealer asap, but i was wondering if anyone had any clues what this might be about? i'm very nervous that it's some sort of drivetrain issue.
thanks for any assistance

I think your just asking the engine to do more than it can at those low speeds and low RPM with the gear choice. You probably don't have that problem at all if you would apply the accelerator slowly. Try using 3rd or 2nd at that low of a speed when applying full throttle.
