Default Interesting... well, you could always trim a bit off the pipe, I suppose.

Pending the rest of it had clearance under the body.

I hope this isn't the start of the need for more speed!

My Milltek tips were recessed too much. Less than flush. It was hard to get them to stick out 1cm.

Default positive

the fwd has a deeper trunk than the quattro so dual exhaust is impossible

Default My speculation is that the...

reducing adapter wasn't sized properly for the 180Q adding an additional inch or so??? Or, the 180Q has a longer pipe coming off the catalytic than the 225?? But what the heck do I know??

Default Re: Only had one concern during the install...

I don't know if I can help you here as I am not sure if your supplier issue you with guide lines already but when you install the Milltek system (cat back) on the TT there is a neat trick to get more adjustment. When they make the cat pipe they stamp three tiny raised stops into the circumference of the pipe. These are there to aid installation on the production line and prevent the outer tubing of the exhaust sliding too far down the inner pipe (the cats). If you take a small hammer you can tap these raised areas flush so that you can slide the Milltek mid section pipe further onto the cat pipe. This will give you more movement towards the front of the car. If you aren't doing it already you should install the exhaust so that the rubber hangers are angled towards the front of the car rather than vertical, this is because due to the additional expansion of type 304 stainless in relation to mild steel the hangers will be pushed backwards as the system heats up. We normally set the tips about flush when cold, then after a good run they will protrude about 1.5". The other consideration is that the the mid section to tail box connection really does need some exhaust sealer applying before you slide the pipes together to ensure that you don't get any leaks.
Hope this helps!
If I can help in any way, do not hesitate to email me directly.

Default Thanks for the tip... I have the adapter snug to the stops -

I guess I'll have to redo the install to make it right.
