Default -13 degrees celsius outside, i start up my car and my coolant light blinks>

STFA-ing revealed that the coolant level sensor might be corroded! the thread didn't give details of cleaning it though! is it ok to drive the car? checked the coolant level and everything looks right. TIA!

They all do that. Check your level visually and get to driving.

Default Sandpaper on a stick....>

LOL...There are two metal prongs sticking into the coolant from the Coolant bottle plug side...Reach in there and scour them a bit and all should be good again...or you could buy a new bottle...they're cheap..

I ran a plastic knife down those prongs. Coolant light has not come back :-)

Default i couldn't believe how white a new coolant bottle was compared to the old one...

which turned so yellow. just with the coolant tank swap, the engine bay looks 'fresh'. like steve says, pretty cheap too.
