new to TT, I was prepared, but probs started earlier than I expected
I am getting this stupid incorr. secondary air code and after a reset, it popped up in a couple mins after a cold start-and-go. Yes, I did a search and checked the neighborhood of combi valve for leaks but couldn't find any, everything seems to be holding tight. couldn't get the pump itself yet. I have a boost gauge (already installed when I got the car) and I wonder if this gauge can help me diagnose the prob. the vacuum is stable at 17-18inHg after idle is stabilized around 720-730rpm. It jumps around till idle rpm stabilizes tough. is this vac level normal?
this happened only a few days after the TB change at the stealership so any chance that the stelaers messed up the vac somehow?
the car is an APR chipped 2001 TTQC by the way.
and --how do I get a hold of the octane number of the chip?
thanks in advance

would VAG-COM work?
Thanks for your help.
I'll have the VAG-COM soon, could it help me figure out if the sec air pump is dying or not?
or the only way to find that out is to wait and see?
yea I can check if the pump works noisy or not but how much noise is noisy?

you'll have to replace it :-)
it will throw a constant code and it will probably be either loud as hell or not work at all. That pump heats up the cat and is used for emission system. It might even be covered under emission warranty which I think is 7 years, so dealer might cover the job.

You can easily check if the pump is functioning reasonably well by unplugging the pump output air hose (black plastic thingy) that connects to the combi valve. Put your hand over the hose opening, you should feel air pushing out forcefully. Hope this helps.
