Default

chip should have nothing to do with it, as it has no effect on the aux air pump.

Default absolutely not. Its the same as blaiming a chip for underinflated tires.

Can the dealer do it? Yes. :-) But I bet they won't deny warranty over it.

Default I hear the pump working (with a thin whistling sound) after a cold start and the vacuum holds well..

.. around 18-19inHg after the car warms up. also checked all hoses but everything seemed to be allright so whats wrong with this damn sec. air pump? is it supposed to be running silently?

Default thanks

yea I suppose the pump works fine because I see a stable vacuum reading(17-18) in the boost gauge. but I don't know if it fails from time to time and that's what I see as a CEL..

Default that's good, because I'll be on my way to stealership soon anyway

since I couldn't find any leaks nor a faulty thing yet..

Default Shouldn't impact the Vacuum at idle...>>

at all. The pump forces air into the exhaust to accelerate the heating of the CATs
