I have gotten this code on my Audi TT. My Audi seems to have a tough time starting when it is cold outside (<45 F). I replaced the battery. I get code 18058. The gauges stay a zero for two or 3 seconds after start up. The clock also resets.
Does the cluster need to be reprogrammed? If so how do it do it with a VAGCOM? Or does this mean my cluster needs replacing?

Use a DVOM and check the battery voltage at rest. Should be 12.60 volts or better . Check the specific gravity of the electrolite (water) in the battery also.
With the engine running in neutral and a load on the battery (headlites on) the meter should show at least 13.4 volts.
Short answer...you probably have a very low battery voltage at rest (10.8 volts or less....bad battery or alternator not charging.
