180fwd lag problem

180fwd lag problem

I found that when I really get on my 180 fwd in first gear, its like the front wheels slip and don't receive full power. I don't think it's simply from spinning out. Any recommendations?

clutch slipping? These cars don't make alot of boost in 1st gear so it probably isn't turbo lag

no thats not it... would a chip fix the problem or make it worse?

Well, if the engine is revving but you're not going anywhere

I'd think a chip would make things worse.

Not likely clutch slip in 1st

Unless you get a lot more in the higher gears. More likely wheelspin.

Are you sure the ASR isn't cutting in to prevent wheel spin?

Definitely wheel spin with the ASR kicking in. Happens all the time. Auto-X I turn it off

and move out with no problem.
