The 225q figures are from Autocar, 2 Dec 1998, and the 180q figures are from Audi driver, Sept/Oct 1999, so they may not be directly comparable, but they are certainly indicative.
30-50mph 3rd Gear
180q 4.6secs, 225q 3.5secs
30-50mph 4th gear
180q 6.8secs, 225q 5.0secs
50-70mph 3rd gear
180q 4.6secs, 225q 3.5secs
50-70mph 4th gear
180q 6.4secs, 225q 4.8secs
50-70mph 5th gear
180q 7.6secs, 225q 6.3secs
Hope that helps

do both cars have the same transmisions? I am under the impression that 4th gear in the 5-sp (180TT) is comparable to 5th gear in the 6-sp (225TTQ).
I guess it would be nice to know how the gear ratios between the cars compare (including the final axle ratio).
