Default LOL, Denny, perhaps I should have put it this way...

No one - at least no one I can imagine being an intelligent shopper - goes out saying, "I must spend $40,000 today on a car" and, as a function of having to spend that much, ends up with the car closest to that number.

This is why it's so laughable when magazines list, "You could buy this car. Or you could buy these other three cars for $XX,XXX" and the column contains cars of completely different character that happen to fall into the same price range.

No one comparison shops the Boxster and Corvette, no one comparison shops the TT and S2000. The buyer of the Boxster is a significantly different person from the buyer of the Corvette and the buyer of the TT would never consider the S2000 as a viable alternative in either styling or performance.

Why? Because cars define themselves with character - not pricing. It's the design that matters, not the marketing - price included.

Default So when you shop for silver spoons, you choose a pattern regardless of price also? ^^^^

Ayecarumba. Don't get me the wrong way, man, but if you are what you say you are, I don't think your in much of a position to analyze how people spend their hard earned money. Although I do agree with your comments when it comes to buying a 6 pack of beer. But I still remember the days when I could only afford Duff.
