Default The Jetta and Tiguan will get the new 2.0 TDI - possibly the Rabbit and Passat as well

first two are confirmed.

Default yeah... i may be stuck getting the Jetta though I am a much bigger fan of the Golf/Rabbit

from a styling and not looking like a sorority chick perspective. (no offense Jetta owners)

Default I keep holding out hope for the A4 Avant 3.0 TDI with 6MT but it looks like auto only for the US

right now. If it were DSG - I could deal with it - but no true auto for me.

VW's just don't appeal to me anymore - although I do like the new GTI.

Default True same here, event the 2.0TDi would be ideal as a daily driver. We will not see the 3.0 until

2010 probably which sucks...I would expect the dealers will charge a hefty premium also for the v6 tdi when it eventually goes on sale here.

When I lived in Europe I owned my share of diesels from Peugeots to VW's and they were great if somewhat unrefined on the older engines. A 1.9PD Tdi that I had on my older Passat was a beast once I added the tuning box to it...

Default We really have no need to get rid of our 2.0T Avant any time soon - but it's only 3 yrs old with 60k

and in a couple years will be hitting that magic 100k mark. Would like something a BIT bigger inside - which the B8 A4 is. Plus the wife commutes and although we get nearly 30mph on the freeway with out modded 2.0T - more would be better. Plus i've owned a B5, B6 and B7 so naturally I need a B8 :-).

I want to get in line for the hybrid version. 70mpg is hard to turn down.
