Dont believe so because
Audi designed the 225 chassis and all other pcs around 225HP (i hope!). The 180HP has its own assortment of goodies as well. Im stating that if one, say, mods the hell out of a 180, I would begin to question the longetivity of all moving parts w.r.t. the drivetrain, turbo, etc. These were not "beefed up" to handle extreme amounts of power, it was built to handle 180HP and the performance 180HP delivers.

I'm pretty sure there were other changes to the engine in the 225.
Externally, at least there were
- dual intercoolers
- MAF
- bigger turbo
Internally I think I recall something about the valve train. That is why the Stage III (it replaces the Turbo & MAF) for the 225 is supposed to have more oomph.
