Hello,
I have a 2000 TT 1.8, and while I was driving I tried rolling up the window and I guess it got off track and wont roll up anymore. The motor is still good because I can hear it. So my question is how do I take apart the panel and try to fix it? I couldn't find any nuts or bolts. Can anyone give me an outline on how to do it or have a description of some sort?

its real easy, pop off the cap in the middle of the door, use a t30 bit to unscrew the only bolt holding the panel on. take off the rubber at the top of the panel on the left and right extents of the panel, unplug the wires, i found the cables that spool to open and close the window, had been stretched over the years, and dont spool correctly on the wheel turned by the motor.

I have a 2000 180QC and over the years I've had the windows play their own game. It seems to be part of the electrical fun I've had but once in awhile I will have the window not reseal when I shut the door and I've also had it not roll up when I press the button. After playing for awhile with the ignition and door open and closed it seems to 'remember' what it was supposed to do. I have had to replace the actuator once on my drivers side but thats it. I had also heard the motor when the window wouldnt roll up and eventually it would 'catch' so to speak. Dont know why....
I never took the panel off though.
