Default 2000 TT rims - German Engineering SUCKS

I had a flat that I needed to get fixed after running over a screw. I removed my front wheel, and brought it to the garage. I rolled it up to the service man. The tire is on its edge when I hear a loud metallic SLAM as the wheel fell on its face (my fault). Now the once shiny smooth metal face is imprinted with the pattern of the concrete it landed on.

For two years I have been paranoid about scraping the rim against a curb while parallel parking. I was lucky so far, until this happened.

Who is the F*CKING IMBECILE that designed these rims so that the face sticks out farther than the rubber? If I ever catch the kraught that designed them I'll beat the sh*t out of him and shove the rim up his ***.

Can you tell I'm upset???

Default That sucks... I've already had to replace one rim.

Its almost unavoidable. Im convinced that my rims have a magnetic attraction to concrete curbs.

Default I agree, I have curb scrapes on 2 of my wheels...

one is not so bad, but the other is pretty bad I either need to spend $100/wheel to get them fixed or just get new wheels. I like the AEZ wheels.

Default operator error!

Try putting wider tires on the rim and stop.

Default I did the same darn thing, and I agree about the projection ... when I get my aftermarket

wheels, they will definitely be recessed.
