Need some opinions...looking at a used Roadster versus a new s2000. Anyone have any biased opinions they would like to share? Also, anyone know a fair price for a 01 TT 225 with 12k on it?
I am guessing they are similarly priced...
Thanks

i wasnt very impressed with its top-end power on the street - its deinitely a great track car if you can keep the RPMS up top all day long - but be prepared to completely flog it off the line to keep up...There was one mag. who got like an 11 sec. 0-60 because they didnt launch at 6K...

I looked at the S2000 before I chose my 225Q roadster. I wasn't terribly impressed with the Honda.
I assume people who are drawn to the S2000 wouldn't be interested in the TT. The Honda's interior and exterior seemed very uninspired to me. Additionally, the Honda's engine, although technically impressive, seemed to me to be way too "peaky" for day-to-day use.
I chose the TT for it's incredible exterior design, it's stunning interior, it's quattro-all weather capabilities, and it's fun-to-drive factor.
No contest for me.
Good luck with your choice.

Cheap interior, and it was way too small for me.
My left elbow and arm were hitting the sill all the time, and the foot well is very cramped.
Do not like the "StarTrek" dash.
I think the over-use of chrome on Asian car headlights is ugly. The front is ugly.
I have not driven one.

If you are at the track every weekend, sure the S2k is probably the better car.
If you actually use the car for everyday driving, the TT is more satisfying.
The S2k, like most Honda's, is all business, nothing extra. Great engine. Boy is it loud when wound up. The TT is towncar quiet compared to it. Interior feels far more cramped than the TT. I fit, but the TT fits better.

If you're looking for a high-strung, lightweight sportscar & you love shrieking revs, the S2000 is the route to travel.
If you are intersted in a quieter, more comfortable (ride & features) vehicle with substantially more midrange torque and, let's not forget, AWD...then the TT solves the equation.
They are two very different cars. I came over to Audis from high revving Honda Motor Company products, and I happen to enjoy the around town thrust of the torquey 1.8 turbo. I do miss some of the tossability of a sub-3000 pound car, though.
