Default 2002 Audi TT-Bubble on side wall of Michelin Pilot Sport Tire (

Dear all,

I just discovered a quarter size bubble on the sidewall of one of my tires (Michelin Pilot Sport, front right side). The tires came with the car and only have 16K miles on them. What should I do? Is this repairable under warranty? How dangerous is the bubble?

Thanks for your help.

Default Probably caused by a pothole...>>>>

Tire pressure is critical on a performance low profile tire...
You can try to go to Michelin and see what they say, but my guess is they may point it back to you and say the tire was underinflated/low pressure.
"Bubbles" are the sidewall cords basically being damaged. If you drive it hard through the turns, it can get dangerous. My suggestion is replace it soon, either by warranty or $$$....good luck

Agree -- have much tread left on them? I only got about 18K on mine.
