So I have 190,000 miles on my 2005 TT 1.8T FWD .The timing belt shredded. So I decided to get a replacement engine. Came up with one that had 85,000 miles. So how do I remove the engine, out the top? out the bottom ? I asked the same question on another forum and was told to buy an Audi service manual. So $117.00 dollars later my service manual arrives and guess what. They dont cover engine removal and replacement. 1000 pages and they dont cover how to remove the engine or trans. SO does anyone have any suggestions on where to find the process of removing the engine? with pictures would be a plus.

Mine dropped a valve at a track event and I did the same. I decided it was beyond my abilities though and let my indy shop do it. Engine was dropped out the bottom. 22 hours labor. It wasn't cheap but I'm glad I did it.
