from 225 to 3.2TT switchers: is the oval mirror assembly/fixture the same?

Since I have a 180 with the square mirror and thinking about the oval one. I saw a 3.2TT at the dealer with the oval mirror that didn't have the same mounting type as mine.
Did the mounting change once they went to oval, or are there different types of oval mirror brackets?
My square one has the attachment right in the back of the mirror, but the 3.2 had it on the top edge of the mirror.
The dealer also talked about a wire for glaze that some mirrors have, mine has the manual plastic tab instead and no wires.
TIA

Since one of my plans was to relocate the mirror 1/2" lower to fit my detector in there!
