Go for the 225. The quick little 180fwd is so much fun to drive which is lost in the 180q model due to extra weight. The 225 compensates this and more. Furthermore, the monthly rise in costs must be considered close to nothing.
Lou

It depends on what you think is important and quite frankly the cost difference between the two. Consider that 240hp is only really $3,000 in bolt ons for the 180hp version, the difference in hp is really not siginficant. HOWEVER, there are two things to consider. First, the 225hp version will come with a six speed transmission. Second, the internals within the 225hp engine can withstand a much higher boost level than those in the 180hp version. This would allow you to increase performance to a much higher level and maintain a higher degree of reliability. If you plan on leaving it stock, buy the 180hp version and save the money. However, buy quattro, the fwd versions values will never stay close to those of the quattro versions and the chassis is definitely inferior, due to the lack of real independent rear suspension.

I was told by the dealer that the arrival date of the 180 HP TT Quattro is late summer or fall and the 225 HP Quattro is June 2000. Does anyone know the MSRP of the 180 HP Quattro and 225 HP Quattro.
Audi announced the base price of the FWD TT is $30,500 which includes leather interior. I am hoping the msrp of TT Quattro 225 HP is around $36K
