Default 225 stock exhaust on 180 Q?

Has anybody done this and can provide me with pics, tips, etc?

From what I've read, an adapter needs to be welded into the connection to accomodate the larger diameter 225 pipe onto the 180 pipe after the "Y".
I assume I'll need an exhaust shop to do this for me. What should expect for the cost of the adaptor? Cost for the entire install?
Can I do the install myself if I purchase the adaptor?

Thanks
