What does the 225 Roadsters' have that is different than the 180 coupes'? Just wondering becuase I really wanted a 225 but I'm not a big fan of convertables and couldn't find a 225 coupe (I'm guessing they don't make them . . .). BUT ANYWAY, I just got a duel exhaust from Audi today. What do I need to have done to my 180 to get it up to 225, without straying away from the parts that the 225 Roadster has?
Thanks,

Read this:

Then make a decision. And yes, they made 225 coupes.

lol, the tt was made in 1.8t and 3.2v6 motors, coupe or roadster, quaTTro or FWD, 180 and 225 for the 1.8t's (not shore about the v6tt3.2). the 1.8t's had two types of intake manifolds, the 180 is 5 speed, 225 6spd, as you know, the 225's have dual exhaust, 3.2's as well(i think). other than the intake manifold, im not shore of the other engine performance differences.

The bonnet and the layout is slightly different 180 has one intercooler 225 has two also has a smaller turbo .i had a 180 and had it remapped and a miltek cat back and went on the dyno guess what 225 bhp , depends on price 225 would be my choice out of the two.

When (if) my turbo blows, I'm going to go with a k04-001 rather than replace it with a k03 turbo - it's my DD and I don't track it so I don't need a BT setup.

The exhausts aren't interchangeable. You can but a dual exhaust for a 180 (I have a Jetex SS Cat-back myself) but don't know how much of a HP gain I got as I an chipped as well (Revo) and have other little bolt on mods.

Amend my previous answer:
I'm not sure about a cat-back system and after a bit of research think the cat-back on a 225 will fit on a 180, but a turbo-back exhaust is different between the two due to the downpipe.
You'll need a new dual rear valence of course.

The 180 is actually higher compression than a 225 so theoretically with a big turbo you can make more hp. You would still need a bigger inter cooler.
