225TT maintenance guestion..iam scheadule for a ribbed and V-belt replacement at 80K

Don't take my word for it but I think Audi says to replace it around 110k. A lot of people replace
it and the water pump around 60k though because they are known to fail (water pump especially)

Take my word for it ... replace timing belt ASAP.
Others can weigh in on merits of replacing the H2O pump that is functioning fine. I would think that if you have never flushed the coolant, it might be worth doing it. It will be cheaper if you do both timing belt and pump at the same time. No matter what, I would replace the timing belt ASAP as you will have bigger problems if it fails.

Yes-replace early. My 97 A4 1.8 broke its timing belt at 90000 miles in April 99 . Audi told me to pound sand. The dealer intervened, Audi payed for half.
