I recently took delivery of a 225bhp TTQ. When excellerting to around 3000rpm I can here what I can only describe as a slight humming noise which lasts for .5 seconds. I asked someone else in UK if they had expereinced the same and they said not. My local dealer says his does it so it muxt be normal!! I'm not an expert by any means but surely this should not happen. Any advise (except the obvious stuff about dealers and where they can stick their 'technical abilities'). I have asked them to ask Audi direct but guess what, no news.

No humming on mine either, but there is a "stutter" at about 2800 rpm (turbo coming in ?) (nt)

I posted the same question about my 225Q two weeks ago, and got no response. I took into the dealer to get them to check that the exhaust wasn't loose.

I find the best thing to do when driving in top gear is to keep it just under 3000 rpm (equates to 75mph).

desirable part of the car.i Mine also produce a similar resonance. Don't worry about it. Cane it! Roll on V5 or V6 iteration.
