Default 38000 miles, switching to synthetic........I think!!!

I am about do for an oil change. I only used synthetic in my previous car, and since my TT is used I don't know whether or not the previous owner has used synthetic oil or not. Are there any problems with switching synthetic now??

Mobil is no longer true synthetic, just AMSOIL and redline.

Default I would refer you to this FAQ....lots of misinformation out there.

Is Mobil 1 with SuperSynTM a fully synthetic motor oil?

Yes, it is. To meet the demanding requirements of today's specifications (and our customers' expectations), Mobil 1 with SuperSynTM uses high-performance fluids, including polyalphaolefins (PAOs), along with a proprietary system of additives. Each Mobil 1 with SuperSynTM viscosity grade uses a unique combination of synthetic fluids and selected additives in order to tailor the viscosity grade to its specific application.<ul><li><a href="http://www.mobil1.com/products/trisynth/faq.jsp">http://www.mobil1.com/products/trisynth/faq.jsp</a</li></ul>

Default As with any engine maybe......depends how scuffed in the rings are.......

if you find you are burning through the synthetic quickly that's the sign you may need higher viscosity or to go back to regular oil.
