4000 rpm at 90 is tooo much!

I know the limit is 70 but last weekend coming back from Tallahassee if i didnt cruse as 85 or 90 i would have been ran off the road by the suvs . At 90 my 5 speed is at 4000 rpm and i understand the 6 spd is the same . Thats too much , any thing can be done ?

...now a 8k RPMs on an S2000 is something else. That was a wild ride the other afternoon.
I will admit that I didn't expect the power at 8k. My friend was getting close to 80 in a 45 without really thinking about it. I saw a cop up ahead... way ahead. "COP COP COP" He slammed on the breaks. :-) He's worried about getting a ticket... my comment to him was, "if you are worried then don't drive fast!" ;-)

While making an accidental trip up to 105 coming down an on-ramp a bit too spiritedly, I noticed that the 75+ MPH range in 6th is nicely in the engine's torque/HP band with the turbo where a blip of the throttle will provide quite the kick in the pants.
In short, I don't think it's too much, not for an engine with a 6K+ redline (just be thankful you're not driving an S2000!)
