The word "derelicts" comes to mind.

The service manager and parts manager's bonuses are based on these numbers.

Default Another quick thought: If they have a high enough salary then they don't care about their bonus,

now do they?

I ripped it in half in front of his face and walked (stormed) off.

I would have made the type of motion with it typically reserverd for toilet tissue!

Default Self-selecting survey?

This is just my experience, I leave it to you to draw conclusions from it.

My wife has always used the same dealer for service on her A4, and we always got the obligatory "how was your service" phone call.

After one visit where things weren't adequately addressed, we gave them less than satisfactory responses on some questions.

We got a call from the service manager a few days after asking why we gave them lower ratings.

Ever since then, we have never received another post-service "how was our service" call...

Which dealer did you take it to?

Default ...

A busy one in Arlington near Potomac Yard. I think I may have fixed the seat on my own. We'll see. The relative long time it took to get the car turned around (with an appointment even, an appointment made 3 weeks out) got to me. The graham cracker crumbs on the interior when they are supposed to clean it didn't help as I was creaking in my seat all the way back to work.

I called back and spoke with the service advisor, we're working on a way to get this minor issue resolved. I don't want to become their adversary, but I think it is fair to have high expectations from them.
