The debate about 2002 5,000 mi. scheduled service continues. Took my car into dealer for 5K service. Service manager politely stated "you don't get one". Showed him my maintainance book with 2 references to 5K service in it. He showed me the chart he got from Audi that showed first service at 10K and added "they're driving me crazy, they change this all the time. 2001s got the 5K, 2002s don't". Anyway, they gave me the 5K service because it was in my service manual, although he was a bit concerned about getting reimbursed from Audi, so he photocopied the appropriate pages of my maintainance book. I thought this was pretty good customer service. There is/was confusion, though. Seems the mainntainance manual says one thing and the instructions to service managers says something else.

What dealer was this?
I took my 2002 in for its 5K service, and they said Audi would not reimburse them, so they did not service me. I drove 35 miles (in snow in Dallas....that was a mess) only to be turned away!
