Default 98-02 Quattro Audi S3/A3/VW TT 1.8T GTRS Eliminator Hardware Kit

Hey all,

Has anyone heard of this turbo kit? Also I was planning on getting this kit to upgrade my 2001 TT QT. Anyone recommends this? I think this one is from ATP?? Thanks and take care.

Default New Kit, there is no TT experience with it. ATP has a marginal reputation around here

Lots of unanswered questions with that kit when compared to the APR or other kits. But thats also why it's $4-5k less, but it will require you to fill in some blanks yourself. I know at least one guy here has ordered the kit but none have been installed yet.

Default APR is a much more complete kit

It has been fully tested and addresses issues such as fueling. The ATP eliminator kit by itself is just a bigger Turbo made to mount to the stock location. It doesn't address things such as larger fuel injectors or ECU programming. Renn-Art is putting together a kit with the ATP stuff and Unitronic tuning but it still seems a bit pieced together.

It is still an intriguing idea to a lot of people, myself included, mainly because of price. But there's also the "Get what you pay for" factor. If you go to www.goapr.com and look at their kit for the TT and compare the two you'll see a lot of the "blanks" have all been filled in with their kit.

Thanks TT Nudge. Before I was looking at just doing the KO4 upgrade also. What do you think about that?

Default Skip the K04 since you drive a quattro; go APR stage 3 if you're a 180 >

the apr does come with software and imo you can't beat it - think through all the issues, and I think you'll see where the better value and lower overall cost really is. I really can't tell whether you're 180 or 225 - get a sig, btw.

I am sorry I am the 180 01 QT. I do need a sig by the way lol... I will get one soon when I figure out how to do it. So go with the APR then?

Default I'd have to recommend it for quick bang and the completeness of the package>

I also think it's the most cost competitive in the long run. On your sig - check the faq's - all you need is text, but you can do a pic and text like I did; photoshop's good but not a requirement, and last, there's a few people here that'll do you a PS one, if you just post the request.

Default Second that, especially on the 180

The APR kit has been around for a long time and puts down some impressive numbers.

BTW, you'll notice if you continue to hang out around here we prefer to put our reply or at least part of it in the subject line when replying. Lets people gauge their interest without clicking first, just one of many community quirks around here.
