If nothing gets it off immediately, don't go too nuts trying to remove it - your efforts will damage the paint more than the sap ever would. It will slowly come off with time.

A detailer which I've used periodically for my A4 suggested rubbing alcohol to remove the sap, and then a bit of wax, rubbed on, and wiped off quickly. I've used this several times, and its worked, and with no ill effects on the finish.
