Default Absolutly Frustrated....

I tried a set of intrax springs about 2 months ago. Kit said it would lower my TT 1.5". I put them on. They only went down 5/8" all the way around.... So I order a set of H&R springs.

I put the H&R Springs on. They only lower the car 3/8" 3 freakin 8's inches! What's the deal?? Am I supposed to take off the rubber spacer that goes on TOP of the REAR SPRING? It's still on the car but I know it's not going to give me an inch drop. And there's really only one way to install these springs so it's not because they're installed wrong...

Where the hell is the extra inch that I"m supposed to get from both of these spring kits???!!!???!???

Intrax 1.5" - I only got 5/8" drop.
H&R springs 1.3" & 1.2" - I only got 3/8".

***** I'm Still using my stock shocks and struts at the moment until I find a spring kit that will actually lower my car.....

Please excuse my frustration, but this whole situation is rediculous.

I don't know what else to do... Can anybody think of why my 225 2001 quattro coupe isn't lowering??

Default springs need to "settle"

I cant remember what the "break in" time was but I believe 1 month should do it.
where are you measuring the before/afters?

Default I don't know what to tell you. I dropped about an inch with the Eibachs on day 1...

paired with Bilstein Sports but that shouldn't matter.

Default The springs settling = 1" ....

I've been told the whole settleing thing before when I first put on my Intrax springs. After 2 months of driving they " SETTLED " only 1/8" more. The front springs don't need to settle. The body just sits on top of them so there's not really any settling to do. It's just very fraustrating and I don't understand why it won't go down... I'm $500 in on springs kits and still look like a 4x4...

I'm measuring from the top of the wheel well to the top of my rim. Like this...

Stock Spring kit Before Picture.

Here's the Inrax kit the night it was done. Only went down 1/2", later settled 1/8" to give a 5/8" drop overall where it stayed.

I just don't get it.

Default maybe the car is trying to stay as far away as possible from the chrome wheels?

LOL, j/k.

I have no idea, I have H&R springs and got an inch easy right away.
