AC question: when stopped at a intersection or light(clutch in) the AC compressor
on the wife's TT cuts off and stays off until she is back underway. Also, when you initially start the car the AC fan(inside car) runs but the air remains hot until the car is moving. Is this normal?
Its hot here in SC this week and this mode of operation is sort of frustrating, cool/on while being driven and then turned off when stopped. Curious if a temp or other sensor has gone bad. VagCom DTC pulls are clean, nothing noted/recorded.

First issue sounds like a problem, the second needs more info >
on the second: are you sure it's not just overcoming hot air and heat in the system, and will blow cold - car moving or not - after that happens? On the first, no not at all - stopped in traffic or at a light, the AC should continue to operate. It sounds like you have a bad fan or a bad connector to the fan, and that might be the source of the second issue also.
