Default Achtuning, rant. Setting expectations. Avoid achtuning?

I ordered a wheel package from them the 26th under the pretense that they would ship that day or the next at the latest. Subsequent calls kept pushing it a day later, each day. Friday they promised me a tracking # but failed to deliver. Their excuse each time was a backlog on the balancing machine.

<rant> I don't care how long it takes you to deliver a product, it's all about setting expectations. If you're going to tell a customer you'll get it out that day and/or forward a tracking number, do what you say. I ordered a **** from Raffi, he got right back and said 4-8 weeks. No problem, honesty appreciated.</rant>

Seems like basic business science to me!<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1153659.phtml">Oh, and now there's this.</a></li></ul>

Default I think achtuning wheels = hartmann wheels also

They get their wheels from the same place for the most part.

I don't think it's a quality of goods issue but rather a quality of service one. The previously mentioned poster's damage could have occured en route, he gives little indication of it being damaged at the source.

Frankly his story scares the crap out of me. I emailed achtuning and told them if it's not on the truck already (as promised) I want my order canceled. Otherwise it's time for a chargeback.

A backorder on the balancing machine seems an excuse of convenience- if truthful they should have mentioned it before quoting 24 hr turnaround. Coupled with the other guy's experience it's beginning to look like achtuning will lie to a customer to book the order and then stonewall until fulfilled, to their standards.

That's my gut feeling anyway.

Default Those guys are GOOD guys in my book

And I wouldn't step out and say that if I didn't mean/believe it. Sometimes unanticipated delays occur. I hope you get it worked out to your satisfaction, but nothing has ever given me any reason to believe that Achtuning isn't on the up and up.
