At 17,200 miles, the instrument cluster in my '01 225QR has started going dead on cold start-up in the morning, for the first several driving miles- The "CEL" also has come on and stayed on for two days now- I'm going down the street tonight to a friend's Audi shop & have him pull the codes, and have also already checked my gas cap & reseated the cluster fuses, in case it might be that easy- Guess I'll see.

Audi seems content with replacing broken defective parts with new defective ones that haven't broken or had problems yet. I guess that's still cheaper than actually fixing the problem and then distributing that part. Hopefully they know about this and have fixed it for the 3.2. Would a 3.2 TT instrument cluster work on any older ones? If so, this might just be the next big hit 3.2 mod after the body kit comes out! : P

Had my friend "pull" the codes last night after work- Only had two- "P1602-low voltage on pin 30" (apparently the ECU power bus) and "P1137-Long-term fuel mixture too rich" (which I'd already observed from the shade of black inside of the tail pipes). Had him reset the ECU, and so far the CEL hasn't reappeared, but again this mornning the instrument cluster was dead on start-up. I'ts really wierd- The instruments come back "on-line" at the exact same driving distance (+/- 100 feet-) from home each morning-

Damn, just fixed my intrument cluster problem by resetting the #11,15 fuse. Is this a temporary fix?
