advantages/disadvantages to big brake kits on front and rear?

Big brakes are great for additional stopping power and reduced fade. After driving with them for awhile, you are much more confident to really mash the brakes of need be.
The problem is that you have to order the parts for that system once they need to be replaced. Picking a kit kinda locks you into using certain rotors and pads. Most of the time that means ording them as well.
As people have said, you can stop on a dime. Unfortunately, the car behind you may not be able too. Honestly, you shouldn't be braking that hard or late in everyday driving anyway though. Sometimes its easy to forget though. Every once in awhile someone will cut in front of me and I will slow a little more than I expected to.
