Default after hard reset gas gauge goes way past full and seems to be 1/4 tank out of sync

for a completely unrelated issue (repaced MAF and reset codes)I had disconnected the negative post and then replaced. Now my gas gauge is about a little under a 1/4 tank over the known quantity in the car (calc by trip meter and distance to empty). When filled the needle now pegs to the F side and falls below F only after several miles. Everything was normal and proportional before reset.

Default so the reset made the cluster suddenly go bad?? :-\

I've read all the prior posts on bad sending units and clusters but this seems a little different in the way it occured, etc... I can live with it but it's just a bit strange

Default Honestly, I don't remember what if anything could have prompted my gas gauge issue. Its been a

while since it started being out of sync. I definitely tried cleaning the fuel senders just in case, but that didn't fix anything (as you would expect since my trip computer was still reading properly.)
