Default Someone proved you wrong, now, didn't they? ;-)

I personally like the Z4. Especially the supercharged/modified one that came in my latest Roundel Magazine. It would do circles around my car w/o a doubt.

I didn't mean to imply you did - it's just *really* bad. ;-)

Default Spent some time in one yesterday at a dealership...

and was very unimpressed with the interior. The seating position is nice and low but the center console intrudes into the gas pedal area and the pedals felt offset to the left a bit. The steering wheel had very cheap plastic on it (the silver stuff) but otherwise was ok. Your arm rests right on the ebrake control when you grab the shifter and it's not exactly a nice flat smooth surface. Ebrake leather also felt pretty crummy. Window controls are in very awkward position on the other side of the door pulls. I hit my watch on the door pull a few times just sitting in the car just with where it is located in relation to the wheel, I imagine it'll get scratched up pretty easily. Dash layout was lame. The SOS/BMW Assist buttons are covered by a really cheesy clear flip cover.
I noticed the same types of things in the E60 5 also. From the initial pics the new A6 interior looks pretty crappy too but getting back in the TT was so nice.

The exterior on the Z4 has almost grown on me. Two things really bug me about the side tho, the HUGE logo with the turn signal behind it and the diagonal slash that goes thru it. The rest of the flame surfacing stuff I can deal with and the back isn't too bad either.

I'm sure it drives great but I'm not so sure how nice it would compare as a daily driver.
