Default Air conditioning issues. Please help.

So today I babied my car for the 30 minutes I drove it, got some food with my little sister...Since its raining had the AC on and all of a sudden when I turned my car on nice little smoke show...

Turned it off found that it was leaking a yellow colored liquid that I was told is freeon. The main leak came from what looks like the size of a coolant temp sensor, yet it is located between the firewall & coolant resivor. Also three plugs (Green, Blue, & Grey) popped out of a black box next to the coolant resivor.

Now my AC controls wont power on, the temp on the dash dosnt appear. And the stereo stays on after I take the keys out.

I'm going to goto a service station tommorow, I'd just like to get an idea of if I can fix this myself by replacing a sensor of some sort.

Thank you for taking the time to read that.
damn sensors

Default fix yourself? doesn't sound that way... sorry.

sounds like the leak came from the high pressure switch. but regardless of the reason, the system will have to be evacuated, the receiver/drier replaced, filled, and tested. leave this one to the pros.

Default sounds like you blew the high pressure side. the "yellow" stuff is oil from the condensor-freon you

would never see. (color-less you see)

you are looking at a complete re-do of the compressor side of your A/C.

Please post back cost and parts results.

Default what worried me is the ellectrical side of things. Don't see why your display wouldn't turn on and

why stereo would remain on.
