Got in the car and started it up and noticed that the alarm LEDs were on solid glowing (not blinking). I hit the door lock switch thinking it might be related but they still stayed on. I shut the car offf then back on and the LEDs went off. Everything seems to be back to normal. Is this a symtom of something else or could I have just clicked the lock button on the key fob by accident while turning the ignition on?

It is a symptom of something wrong in the LED electrical system. My TT has had it since new. The dealer has never been able to pin it down. It visibly happens, but does not show up on the diagnostic computer so they cannot figure out how to fix it. I asked Audi to buy the car back, but I was ignored. Last time I asked for the repair on the alarm light, the Service Advisor indicated that there was an electrical item buried deep in the car that could be replaced, but there was so much disassembly involved and reassembly that I would probably not like the result, as the car might never be the same. So, I decided to do two things: 1) I cancelled the extended warranty I had purchased and got a refund. 2) I will trade the car for some other car, probably another TT because I like the design, when my present car is at about 45,000 to 49,000 miles.
I love the TT, but I have learned via owning two of them, plus having had an Audi 5000 Turbo, that when there is a repetative electrical problem in an Audi component, ignoring it or selling the car are the options.
BTW, turning it off and re-starting is the solution to the LED light problem. Mine acts up several times a month, and that is how I turn the LED lights off...

That, and the window motors that go out, and the instrument clusters that fail, and the slave cylinders in the transmission that fail, nd the gas guage sending units that fail, etc., etc., etc. I love the TT, but it is too expensive to maintain out of warranty, so I have determined to sell or trade each TT I own prior to warranty expiration...
