Default All StopTech owners with Pagid pads....

Questions: My pads squeak to no end. No amount of hard braking clears it up. Also during wet weather the braking is terrbile. Anybody else have this?

Alos, I finally pulled my pads off to see if I could stop the squeaking and the pads are IMHO extremly pitted, and appears to be "melting", firm buildup on the sides of the pads. Anybody experience this?

Default These issues are well known, especially poor braking in the wet. See for yourself ....

Do a search on the S4 forum and you'll be surprised.

Default I have had similar issues driving in heavy rain...

It happened to me last week when it was cold and raining. When I haven't used the brakes for a while and then apply them, the pedal feel is much stiffer and the car doesn't stop like it does normally. This is also happens to me when I leave the car wash after using the pressure washer. I have the Axxis ultimate pads, but was thinking about switching to Porterfields. I had Porterfields in the front before, but they squeaked a lot. I think I will try bedding in the brakes again like that post said and see if I still have problems in the rain.
