Default To All Those Who Store Their TToys For Long Periods

Had a problem with drained battery a few weeks ago. Thought I'd pass on what I've learned (the hard way)about the TT's systems and effect on battery.
If you store your vehicle for a long period of time
- know that the vehicle's security system will stay on and draw from the battery, microvolts only but over time will eventually drain the battery.
- solution: many threads ago Steve and others recommended getting a "battery maintainer" of some kind - do it. Use it.

correct term is "it draws microamps" -not microvolts

Default there is alot more to this, but good start.>>>>>>

for example, lets say you park your your car for over a year, what should you do?
for a year and a half mine sat, bat. umpluged and marvelystery oil in the gas tank and in the reg. oil. brakes got hit with a extreme light coat of wd-40 and the echaust and intake where coverd up. but the one thing i forgot was the cabin air filter whitch had a nest

after coming back to the car, the brakes where not rusted and worked great, the gas was like new when driving, and the oil was changed soon after. but over all, the only issue as the cabin filter! the batt was disconnected and it whent through a vermont winter. the car started right up without a isssue, there is alot more to this, but pleae post your thoughts!!!!

Default Just took mine out of storage today after 5 months without a problem...

of course we disconnected the battery....all Ronzo did was to reconnect it, add a little air in the tires and away we go!
