Default surginess at part throttle mostly is what I noticed.........

If you had a boost gauge, you could read it, not only *feel* it

If you suspect the MAF...

With the car unstarted, unplug the MAF (check engine light may or may not light immediately)

If the CEL comes on, go drive it and see if it doen not feel smoother.

If the CEL does not come on, keep restarting it until it does (and the ASR light should come on as well)

The go drive it and see if it feels smoother.

If unplugging it makes it feel more smooth, then you can almost bet that it is the MAF

Default Ok.... to recap....

- I unplug the MAF until I get a CEL (can I try it even if I don't get a CEL?)

- Once I get CEL I go out and try it (if its the MAF then it SHOULD feel smoother - no jerking around)

- Once I've confirmed/unconfirmed then I plug the MAF back in and after a while (couple of start/stops) the CEL light should go out.

I already have an apointment with the dealer. I'm putting the stock DV back in since the one I have (MTM spec Bosch - Thanks MTT !) looks "too much" like stock and I'm afraid they will replace it while trying to fix the problem. I also want to test with the original DV just in case.

Thanks for all your help Sean, Marcus, everyone else.

Default does a faulty MAF *always* create a CEL?

I get bogging/stuttering at partial throttle, around 2500-3200 RPM.
