Default i don't understand the problem....

they list the car as a 2000...it has 6-spoke wheels, lists 5-speed manual...gotta be a 180hp car

http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/ida/redwhiteblue3_frame.jtmpl?dealer_id=1236736&re sult_car_id=</a

Swapping exhaust for a 225s is very easy on a 180 quattro

Default The car is modded, so its possible he also changed the exhaust (a popular mod on here)

Its an 00 and in 2000 there were no known 225s (except for the euro TTs) so I think the salesman was mistaken when he said it had a 6speed.. On the website it says it has a 5speed, the vin says its an 00, and there were no 225s in 2000, so Im willing to bet its a 180.. You said its a 2hour drive to see the car, and if you don't want a 180, I don't think its worth the drive.. Odds are you will get there and it will be a 180.. But hey, if you've got nothing else to do.. go for it.. who knows maybe you'll stumble onto something.. If you do go, and the shift **** says its a 6 speed, run it through the gears to make sure its a 6 speed.. Make sure R is where it is suppose to be, and make sure 6th is where it is suppose to be...

Default Yep, now that the link is up it certainly looks that way...

I wonder if the previous owner might have put a 6-speed shift **** on? The car is definitely modded, 225 exhaust(maybe), armrest, big stereo. I would probably stay away from it... now that AG coupe they've got...
