Am I taking crazy pills? Where are my rear speakers?
I have a newly-aquired used 2000 TT coupe with the Bose system and the 6-disc changer (stock). Are there no rear spakers in this configuration? When I roll the fader to the rear, it seems like there are no speakers back there. I don't want to go looking for them yet (pulling panels, etc).
sorry for such a stupid question.

The in-dash unit has a fader button that makes that center main ...
**** work as a fader. It is just that as you roll it to the back, the vol. just dies away. Like what you would expect if the speakers were missing. I think it is all stock Bose.
I guess I don't care too much, since the system sounds just fine.
I got Bob Marley, John Hiatt, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Dervish, Altan and Dvorak's New World in my changer. I love it all.

I believe it is because the ...
rears carry the lower wavelengths, while the fronts are smaller and carry the mids / highs. Fading the rears in too much, and you would lose mid / highs, fade them out, you would lose lows. Either way would result sub-optimal sound. (methinks anyway).
