Default amusing stealership story <rant>

so 3 weeks ago i take the car in to get CV boot, shift boot, and lat. accel sensor fixed. i tell them what code was thrown for the lat sensor. they see it too. they agree, they order the part, they fix it, i pay my $50. well it's still not fixed. so i take it back, they say oh well we replaced a different sensor. but now the lat sensor needs replaced....duh, i told you that from day one and you agreed. so today they finally fixed the right sensor and tried to charge me another $50. i asked them why, he said b/c it didn't get fixed the first time. yeah, i know b/c the DEALER didn't fix the right sensor, and i'm not paying for your mistake. they argued for 15 minutes about how it was a separate trip. i finally proved my point and didn't pay. bastages.

"Oh, you wanted the lat sensor replaced? We thought you wanted to know what the code meant."

Default because the dealers make alot of their money through the profitable service department,

a $50 deductible eats into it...and any excuse to stretch it out is in their best interest.

Default A Lot? Many of them make it ALL there....>>

Dealers operate on a term called "Service Absorption".....100%, which is the goal, means 100% of all dealer expenses are covered by service dept. profits. At that point Sales and Parts are the gravy...
