Default Any Battlefield 1942 fans in the house?

If so, there is a new(to me) mod out for it called Desert Combat. It uses vehicles, player skins, and weapons from you guessed it desert storm. A few of the available vehicles are Apache, Mig29, M1, Hummer, A10 Warthog, and various other vehicles.

I played it for the first time last night and am hooked. It makes the game play much more fun and involving than using the older vehicles. Everything is much faster(the planes and vehicles are easily twice as fast as before). There are no more bombs, but missles, and the guns on the planes and vehicles are much more destructive.

Just wanted to get the word out in case anyone is interested.

P.S.- In the next release there will be a C-130 gun ship, HIND gunship, and Blackhawk

Any network latency problems? Hack mod issues?

Default The game play is great!!! You need a fast PC, but if you play MOHAA...

then your PC should be fine for 1942. I have not experienced any bad latency, but I am also on a very fast cable connection where my ping times to 1942 servers are generally between 40 and 120. There are no hack's that I have run across yet.
