Default any clue what the value is for one- 18" OEM ALMS rim?

Not a for sale post, a whats the value post.

A friend of mine has a decent condition OEM takeoff ALMS wheel, he's crazy about his cars condition so after minor scuffs on the wheel he went out and purchased a new oem rim for $700. This wheel was used for roughly 1,200 miles and appears to be straight and true with minor cosmetic damage. Probably perfect for the ALMS owner who wants a spare or someone who damaged their OEM 18" wheel beyond repair and does not want to pay factory prices or worry about cheap replicas or those with different weights or offsets than this is the wheel for you.

Not really sure what the value would be so he put it on e-bay but he questioned me what price he could fairly ask for the wheel. any suggestions?

Default

I would say at least $200 to $250 for a good used one.

Default Interesting ... no bids after 4 days. Also, the counter shows 104 page views.

If this were my auction, I would add RS4 (aren't these RS4's?) or whatever style wheel they are called to the actual auction title. I would also put in the title the cars that this wheel will fit on, e.g. TT, Jetta, Golf, A4, etc., whatever they are.

This way, people that have standard daily searches (like me!) that they use to regularly
"mine" the eBay listings will be sure to have your auction pop-up so they can review it and hopefully bid on it or at least add it to their watch list for eventual bidding. I would think that you should have some bids by now but my concern is that people are just not finding the wheel when they do their typical searches. So think about adding more key words to the auction title!

Default I know i keep telling my friend who's auction it is

I told him to include that it fits on the GTI and Jetta and to put ALMS TT RS4 in the title. I also told him to include 18x8 et33 5x110 in the text.

And the page counter is probably me checking his auction so often to see if someone bid!

I will try and get him to take more detailed pictures of the rim and the specified damage area and post them.

Thanks for the advice!

Default I paid $250 for a nearly mint one with a new pilot sport tire.

Expect $100-$200. That paint is almost impossible to match so repainting should be done in pairs.
