Default Any downside to removing rear perch?

I got the VMaxx coilover kit installed and they did a great job, its just not as low as I'd expect in the back...

Well, he tells me he left the rear perch in because he thought it would make a lot of noise if he took it out...

Any input on that, I can't even visualize what the rear perch is... he said he would take it out if I brought it back to him for free... is it worth it?

Default The spring perch is threaded to adjust the height

but even with it adjusted all the way down there's still maybe 1/2" of metal that the spring is sitting on which raises the car some amount. You might need to just remove the adjustable collar, not sure what the vmaxx setup looks like. This pic is from an H&R setup.

Default Give it some time to settle before you adjust or remove anything

At least two weeks. On my S4 the rear dropped a little lesss than 1/4 inch after two weeks, where the front did not (HR coilovers)

Does he mean the stock perch? If so then yes, remove it.

Default There is a way to go lower while leaving in the perch with VMaxx...

Here is a link to an excellent install thread. There is a section on grounding a very small portion of the spring to allow the springs to sit all the way down on the perches.

I ordered my VMaxx today so let me know how this works as well as your impressions of the ride. I can't wait to get them installed.
