any final thoughts on this wheel (konig "rated r")

it's a nice wheel but i was specifically looking for a deep-dish six-spoke rim with a polished/machined lip. the ssr competition is closer to what i was looking for but not in a color i care for, not to mention that (imho) the spokes are too small for the tt and iirc it's not available in 5x100 anyway.
finally, i haven't seen the rated r's on a tt before, so i feel a little more unique going with them, but i admit that's weak reasoning ;-)

This "tuner" wheel is designed for various bolt circles and universal application. Do they have insertable hub centering rings? If so, and the rings are sized correctly they should mate to the Audi hubs and hence H&R spacers, as they're a mirror image of each other. If you feel better going with his spacers go for it. They may be built to eliminate the additional piece of the hub centering ring. Ask about this.

it's the two adapters (1 spacer, 1 "hubcentric adapter ring) that he (my wheel guy) seemed to think was a very bad idea.
i'm not sure if it's just superstition but i know that there are purists over on the wheel forum that are even more extreme and would never use an aftermarket rim that wasn't built hubcentric to the car (i.e., they grow ill at the thought of even using a single adapter).
intuitively, the idea of having fewer adapters certainly makes sense to me -- if nothing else, it's one less thing that i'm likely to leave out by accident when swapping my rims on and off.

i know the competitions are common to the s4, but i've never seen them on a tt... in any case, not quite the look i'm after.
the blitz technospeed is nice, though a bit busier than i wanted -- and absurdly expensive!

in case anyone is interested -- happened to have them both lying around.

in fact, i really really *really* wanted 8.5 wheels so that i could run 255/35/18 rear -- but alas, these only come in 7.5" width. also, i'm concerned that all the additional bolt holes will lead to a weaker wheel -- and man if the wheel breaks at the center then i'm gonna be in a heap of trouble.
finally: yeah yeah, i should've purchased leather armrests... sigh.
