I have never looked for the pump, I just hear the same noise coming from behind the glove box that all of the 225's have. I have been in a few 225's and they all have the same noise I am hearing behind my glove box. I will go outside tomorrow and have a look. If I can't see it tomorrow, I will have Jason take a look next Saturday when we are putting my belly pan back on the car.
Maybe we can get a pic of it from underneath!

Vin: 1016343 Does that make mine 5798 TT's newer than Bogey's? I am not sure how the VIN works on the TT. Is mine the 16,343 made, or does the 10 infront mean anything?

going everywhere (I really was hoping to find the damn thing). Nothing. It will be interesting to see what you guys come up with.
I took MichaelTT's comment to mean 225s worldwide did not get pump until 2001 as the 2000 Euros don't have the pump either.

wires, smallish pump and cooling lines. See my pic above. Problem is it is only known to exist on 225 where throttle body on IM is on driver side. So, descript of orientation on 180 is a bit goofy.
The more I thought about it last night the more I *think* I recall MichaelTT writing he did not have the pump. So, only 225s after a certain build date have it.
Merry Christmas, Larry.

The sound of the pump is very distinctive, with the hood up. It sounds somewhat like a toy motor for a model car, but a bit beefy. Again, it is seperate from the fan, which can also operate after shutdown. There is no way that my 180 had this, and I still suspect that the 180 doesn't have this.
